The Georgia Council of Nephrology Nurses and Technicians (GCNNT) functions as a professional membership council within the framework of the National Kidney Foundation of Georgia (NKFG) in the development of health policies that impact professional practices and the delivery of patient care. The Council advocates and contributes to the professional development of members through education networking and dissemination of information related to professional practice an quality of care.
The Council supports the mission of the NKFG to bring help and hope to those who suffer from kidney disease through research, patient services, national organ donor program, professional and public education.

The Georgia Council of Renal Nutrition (GCRN) functions as a professional membership council within the framework of the National Kidney Foundation of Georgia (NKFG) and networks with other organizations to support the National Kidney Foundation's goal of prevention, eradication and treatment of kidney and urologic diseases.
GCRN Goals:
- Develop and promote patient and public education.
- Support the profession of the renal dietitian and promote professional education.
- Stimulate, support, encourage and disseminate nutrition-related research.
- Impact regulatory and legislative issues.
- Promote and encourage quality nutrition care for renal patients.

The Georgia Council of Nephrology Social Workers (GCNSW) functions as a professional membership council within the framework of the National Kidney Foundation of Georgia (NKFG) and networks with other organizations, including the Health Care Financing Administration (HCFA), state and local governments, and private groups. GCNSW's purpose is two-fold: one, to assist patients and their families in dealing with the psychosocial stresses and lifestyle readjustments (of kidney disease) and facilitate a treatment program that will maximize rehabilitation potential; two, to support the federal regulations governing ESRD reimbursement in regard to standards for social work practice and in the definition of a qualified social worker.
