The Kidney Cars Program is the most productive fundraising
activity of the National Kidney Foundation of Georgia. People
can make a charitable donation to the Foundation in the form of
a used car.
The donated cars are towed FREE OF CHARGE from their location
and then sold at a wholesale auction or for parts. What do I need to donate my car?
You can now donate your car online! Click here to submit your donation online, or simply call us at 1-800-488-CARS [2277] and ask for a Kidney Cars information packet to be mailed to you. Complete instructions are included in this packet. You will need to send us:
- A legible copy of the most current tag receipt/owner's registration that is marked paid.
- The title from your car if it is a 1986 or newer model (signed exactly as your name appears on it).
- A transfer agreement (enclosed in the packet we will send you).
- An odometer statement (also enclosed in the packet).
You will be contacted by telephone approximately 7 to 10 days after we receive the required materials from you. At that time, arrangements will be made to pick up your automobile free of charge. After your car is sold, you will be mailed a "Deed of Gift" from the National Kidney Foundation of Georgia.
We suggest you consult a tax advisor as to the specific tax benefits available to you. The National Kidney Foundation of Georgia makes no appraisals nor places specific values on any donated auto.
